A competition record breaker was in the spotlight when The FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Round draw was made at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 8 January.

Chasetown made FA Cup history when they became the smallest ever club to reach The FA Cup Third Round back in 2008.

It was Danny Smith who sealed the then Southern League Midland Division side a home tie against Cardiff City when his last minute header in the Second Round defeated Port Vale 1-0.

Smith represented the Scholars at Wembley Stadium and he was joined by former Cardiff City boss, Dave Jones.

Chasetown’s run in the competition came to an end at the hands of the Bluebirds who went all the way to The Final where they were eventually beaten 1-0 by Portsmouth.
